Functions

As the market’s most experienced trailer manufacturer, equipment and functionality are always under development – usually in close cooperation with our customers. Naturally, our aim is to maximise your benefit and comfort. Here are some examples of the high degree of functionality we offer today. If you have any questions or your own input on these or any other functions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Changing room

Trailers equipped for changing clothes have lockers and benches for each person as well as a drying cupboard and washbasin. Trailers for five or more persons are equipped with two washbasins. Trailers can be fitted with wooden or metal lockers. Trailers fitted with diesel heating have wooden lockers (with or without doors) that are usually 40 cm wide. Metal lockers are usually 60 cm wide and split into two sections, of which one has a lockable door.

Shower

Trailers with showers have a 140 litre hot water tank fitted as standard. The shower cabin is 80 × 80 cm and equipped with a sliding door, shower fittings, twin-handle shower mixer (for easier mixer emptying to avoid frost damage). Grey water drainage takes place through the floor.

Overnight facilities

Sleeping berths usually consist of an upper and lower bunk in each room. Mattresses are included as standard. Each room also has a wardrobe. The number of sleeping berths is adapted to suit requirements depending on trailer size.

Mains water

Trailers can be fitted ready for connection to an external water supply by means of a central connection (with a 1.2 bar pressure reduction) in the form of a threaded pipe for adaptation to own requirements. The connection standard can also be adapted to customer requirements.

Mains sewerage

The trailer can be adapted for connection to the sewer mains by extending the pipe underneath. The standard pipe diameter is 32 mm.

Food/galley

Food section:
Table and chairs and/or benches that can also be used for resting. Windows are always designed and located to provide a bright, pleasant environment. One window is always openable in order to double as an emergency exit.

Galley:
Fridge, top cabinets, food warming cabinets, countertop.
On request, the galley can also be fitted with a stove and microwave depending on trailer size and design.

Toilet

Trailers can be fitted with various types of toilet solutions depending on conditions and needs.

Models:
– Chemical toilet (septic tank must be emptied)
– Incinerating toilet (requires minimal emptying as incineration minimises volume and smell)
– Packaging toilet (sealed package after every visit to the toilet)
– Flushing toilet (requires sewer connection)

Storage room

Storage room comprises a space with a separate entrance from the outside. The idea is to store tools, equipment and materials that are undesirable inside the trailer in a suitable locked space to keep things neat and tidy and reduce the risk of theft and damage to materials and equipment.

Workshop

The workshop consists of a space with a separate entrance. The space is designed with a workbench and storage in the form of hutches and shelves. We use checker plate to create a non-slip, durable floor that is easy to keep clean.

Unbraked

An unbraked trailer may be towed by passenger car at a maximum highway speed of 30 km/h. The trailer’s gross vehicle weight may not exceed the towing vehicle’s gross vehicle weight. This option only requires a category B driving license. However, we refer in the final instance to the applicable regulations.

Braked

Trailers are supplied registered, inspected and approved for speeds up to 80 km/h. Requires vehicle inspection every two years. We refer to applicable regulations regarding driving license and towing vehicle requirements.

Tow hitch

Available in different designs:
– Passenger car: 50 mm ball hitch
– Trucks: VBG coupling
– Tractors: Towing eye (76 mm diameter)

Chassis

Our chassis usually comprises a frame with a towing member, axles and wheels. Depending on the weight and customer requirements, trailers are fitted with one or two axles. Wheel sizes are usually 14″but can sometimes be adapted to suit customer requirements and preferences. We also manufacture angle iron bases (steel bases) without wheels and hook lift bases. All trailers can be fitted with lifting fittings for hoisting by crane.

Electric heating

Electric heating requires the trailer to be connected to 380V (3 phase). The connection is easily accessible on the outside of the trailer and supplies the entire electrical system via an electrical box with main switch, automatic circuit breakers and a residual current device.

There are two versions of electric heating available:
– Direct acting heating: The system consists of direct acting radiators with thermostats or additional underfloor heating coils (comfort heating)
– Hydronic heating: The system is available in combination with propane or diesel heating and uses immersion elements. The system consists of wall-mounted radiators that can be supplemented with hydronic underfloor heating. The system is controlled by a central thermostat.

Our hydronic systems are equipped with unique Bolin pumps, which ensure good, extremely quiet, energy-efficient circulation.

Water heater size within a 15 to 58 litre range is adapted to suit trailer size and purpose.

Propane heating

There are two main options for propane heating:
– Hydronic heating: The system consists of a propane-fired boiler and hydronic wall-mounted radiators that can be supplemented with underfloor heating. The system is controlled by a central thermostat. The system is thus only dependent on a 12V power supply. The system can be equipped with optional immersion elements that enable electric heating (see electric heating above).
– Warm air heating: The system consists of a propane furnace that spreads heat throughout the trailer by means of radiation and a fan and air ducts. In small, single-room trailers heat is spread through radiation alone (which reduces energy consumption).

Our hydronic systems are equipped with unique Bolin pumps, which ensure good, extremely quiet, energy-efficient circulation.

When a trailer is fitted with propane or diesel heating, the hot water system usually comprises a 12-litre hot water heater kit. Trailers with showers are usually fitted with a 24-litre electrical hot water heater instead.

Diesel heating

There are two main options for diesel heating:
– Hydronic heating: The system consists of a diesel-fired boiler in combination with a self-circulating hydronic system and wall-mounted radiators. The system is thus not dependent on electricity. The system can be supplemented with underfloor heating, but will then need a Bolin circulation pump powered by a 12V supply. The system can also be equipped with optional immersion elements to enable electric heating (see electric heating above).
– Radiant heating: The system consists of a diesel-fired furnace that spreads heat throughout the trailer by radiation. The system is thus not dependent on electricity.

Diesel heating is equipped with a mechanical thermostat.

Our underfloor heating systems are equipped with unique Bolin pumps, which ensure good, extremely quiet, energy efficient circulation.

When a trailer is fitted with propane or diesel heating, the hot water system usually comprises a 12-litre hot water heater kit. Trailers with showers are usually fitted with a 24-litre electrical hot water heater instead.
